TCGA Golfers,

We hope everyone had a happy and healthy winter season as we make our way into Spring and the 2026 golf season. We wanted to take a moment to share with you a glimpse of our path forward for the upcoming season and beyond.

We would like to start by saying thank you to our new renewing 2026 sponsors to date: Harding Brooks Insurance AgencyScoville-Meno Family of DealershipsRemliksFairways Indoor GolfAd ElementsMirabito-Gresham Insurance & Bonds Agency, LLCOGGI Concrete Forms and Accessories, and Andrew R. Mancini Associates for your support into the 2026 season.  We continue our investment in sponsorship outreach to assist in building funds to help bolster and expand the TCGA’s current and future programming – other businesses interested in sponsoring, please reach out to tcgagolf@gmail.com – we would welcome discussion on how our organizations could best partner.

2026 Plans for the TCGA Include:
  • Continuation of GHIN requirement for all tournament registrations, following last year’s announcement. For team events, a minimum of one member per team will be required to enter their GHIN.
    • NEW THIS YEAR: As the TCGA works through progressive expansion to the West, we are expanding the eligible counties to include Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben for all events with the exception of the Harding Brooks Insurance Agency TCGA Amateur Championship.
  • 2026 Match Play Championship presented by Fairways Indoor Golf to be played at Links at Hiawatha Landing in early August. Similar to last year’s event, this year’s event will include a Friday Qualifier, with all matches updated to 18 holes, and names and results submitted for World Golf Amateur Ranking (WAGR) points awarded.
  • New Championship trophy for the TCGA Match Play Championship and Junior Tour Championship, as well as renewed trophies for the TCGA Amateur Championship and TCGA Player of the Year.
  • Continuation of Scoville-Meno Family of Dealerships TCGA Scholarship program
  • Continued year over year growth in attendance at TCGA junior events and kickoff clinic. The expanded 36 hole Championship format Championship will continue into 2026, with NYS exemptions and results submitted for additional rankings points (Junior Golf Scoreboard, AJGA, Team NY) if field requirements are met
  • 4 event TCGA Senior schedule.
  • Renewal of the third annual TCGA Women’s Event.
  • Continuation of “Player of the Year” competition prize pool (Remlik’s sponsorship, 2026 will be the sixth year of Top 10 receiving $1000 in gift cards, points system updated on website)
  • Continued development of relationship/partnership with New York State Golf Association (NYSGA), including increased use of Golf Genius for event registrations and scoring.

In addition to our Website, our growing Instagram and Twitter pages, along with our Facebook group page (be sure to follow them!) will continue to be used to further distribute content and information, and promote events throughout the season for contestants. 2026 Season schedules are planned to be released within the next week, with a registration opening date/time of Wednesday, April 1st at 9:00AM for all Open Division events through August. Check out our Tournament Directory for a sneak peek at the 2026 events, as most event pages are live.

The TCGA is always looking for volunteers – if you are interested in helping shape the future of amateur golf in the Triple Cities through involvement on the Board of Directors or more specific volunteer opportunities, please reach out to one of our board members! This year, we welcome Matt Maione as Secretary and Luciano Giammarino as a Director, with Evan Sitts transitioning to a Director role.

We look forward to the continued opportunity to continue to serve our area courses and contestants this upcoming season. See you on the course!
